Christmas Day through the Flinders Ranges
Ah, the memories of Christmas in 2019 are forever etched in our minds. With our trusty DR650 motorcycles, we embarked on a thrilling adventure from Melbourne to the majestic Flinders Ranges. Our destination was Wilpena Pound, where we established our base camp, eager to embrace the wonders of Adnyamathanha Country.
Christmas Day arrived, and we immersed ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of the region. Nature welcomed us with open arms, allowing us to get up close and personal with its splendour. We traversed the land, exploring the haunting ruins of the early settlers, each step unravelling the fascinating history of the area.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we found ourselves beneath a dazzling blanket of stars, camping under the vast expanse of the night sky. And to capture every magical moment of this incredible journey, my trusty Pixel 4 camera phone was there, a faithful companion, freezing those cherished memories in time.
It was a Christmas like no other, a celebration of adventure, nature, and the joy of exploration. Our hearts brimmed with gratitude, knowing we had experienced something truly special. From the saddle of our motorcycles to the stillness of the starlit night, every moment was a testament to the beauty and wonder of this remarkable land.
